Welcome to Ozone Industries Ltd (OIL)
Ozone Research & Development Partnerships
Due to ozone’s unique properties—including its short half-life and in-situ generation requirement—standard chemical testing methods often don’t apply. As ozone regulations have evolved, so has the need for specialised research to validate its applications.
Ozone Industries Ltd, in collaboration with EuOTA, partners with leading research institutes across Europe to support the safe and effective use of ozone in industrial and commercial settings.
Our R&D Partners:
These partnerships help us develop validated ozone systems that comply with UK and EU regulations.

Innovate UK KTP Project – Ozone Device Compliance & Efficacy
Ozone Industries Ltd has been awarded an Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University. This project focuses on the efficacy, safety, and regulatory compliance of ozone-based disinfection systems, particularly under BS EN 17272:2020 and the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR).

Led by biochemical engineer Ben Meyrick, the research explores the effective use of ozone as a biocidal agent in industries such as food processing.
The partnership aims to strengthen long-term collaboration between Cardiff Met and the ozone technology sector.

Commitment to Compliance and Industry Leadership
In today’s European market, compliance with stringent regulations is essential—especially in the field of biocidal products. Ozone Industries Ltd (OIL) stands out with an exemplary record in meeting these standards, ensuring that our products and processes align with the latest legislation.
Key highlights of our compliance and industry leadership include:
-
Founding Member of EuOTA: OIL played a pivotal role in establishing the European Ozone Trade Association (EuOTA) in 2015. This organisation helps ozone companies and generator suppliers navigate compliance with the Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR (EU) 528/2012). Our Managing Director, Mike Prince, serves as Chairman, driving its mission forward.

At OIL, our commitment to compliance is not just about meeting requirements—it’s about setting the standard for excellence in our industry.
